UP THE BUG are a homegrown party rock family, forged in the fires of the SW shire.
‘Imagine UP THE BUG as a West Country interpretation of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but with a great deal more songwriting creativity, and a far more talented vocalist’ - Ben Wheadon, Slow Motion Panic Masters.
Forming at the start of 2019 they have travelled all over England and Europe performing original material to the people of the world. A month later they played their first BBC radio session before being invited back for a residency in June 2019 (Soundcloud) and again March 2020.
They were invited by Will and the People (UK) to perform at Hempiness Music Festival in Italy alongside Sticky Fingers (AUS) and Pedestrians (CH).They toured all summer over Europe and the UK before returning home to write and prepare for the year that never was...

With all the promise of 2020 bubbling on the back burner, the bugs sought shelter with Sensei Sam at the Dojo Recording Studio, where their experiences past, present and future were brewed into bangers by the barrel load.
Now UP THE BUG set their sights on the horizon, armed with an arsenal of high calibre super skankers and the undying desire to bring the FYA!
